Environmental Responsibilty & Sustainability
Our Commitment:
Since our establishment as V S P, our main theme has always been to create ''Timeless'' pieces that would have the solidity to transcend times while maintaining our core principles. Throughout time, we have learned to prioritize the ways, the challenges and the needs of our world, and the ways to come.
Our Environmental Impact
All the high-quality raw materials we use in our collections are by-products of the food industry with long-term usage; sheepskins, leathers that are carefully sourced, and special fabrics with natural fibers. Our raw materials are provided mainly from Turkey, Spain, Italy and the United Kingdom. All the garments and accessories are made in Turkey. 97% of all our raw materials are sourced certified and audited by the Leather Working Group Protocol.
For labeling and packaging, we use biodegradable fabrics and recycled papers.
(All data is driven from VSP 2026 Sustainability Report)
We take conscious steps on reducing our environmental footprint everyday. Eco-friendly tanning processes we practice; chrome free, metal free and semi-vegetal. This results in using less water, energy and waste with lower emissions in the process compared to generic leather processes. Synthetic and vegetal tanning processing also makes the leather more easily biodegradable. As our core principles suggest, we prioritize longevity and durability.
In 2024, 68% of our leathers have been sourced as vegetal tanned and chrome-free, with an approximately 30% difference since 2019.
Initiating from December 2024, we are meticulously measuring our environmental and social impact every year, gathering a meticulous evaluation for further improvement. Our first sustainability report will be released in August, 2026.
We aim to maintain our low environmental impact practices and hopefully increase both our awareness and reduce the impact on the environment with time. We are currently in collaboration with consulting companies to help us achieve a better goal in sustainability and discover new ways to practice responsibility more. Knowing that the transformation towards a more sustainable future is a process that will be happening step by step, we are ready and dedicated to play our part for our home, Earth.

We are a member of the LWG (Leather Working Group) to support and contribute to best environmental practices within the leather industry.

The Leather Working Group (LWG) objective is to develop/maintain a protocol that assesses the environmental compliance and performance capabilities of leather manufacturers and promotes sustainable environmental practices.
The Leather Working Group (LWG) objective is to develop/maintain a protocol that assesses the environmental compliance and performance capabilities of leather manufacturers and promotes sustainable environmental practices. This includes but is not limited to use of chemicals in tanning proccesses, water and carbon footprints through production methods and traceability throughout the supply chain.
The Leather Working Group (LWG) mandates comprehensive chemical management within its audit protocols, aligning with ZDHC and AFIRM standards to ensure responsible, safe practices in leather manufacturing. LWG-certified facilities must adopt the Manufacturing Restricted Substance List (MRSL), manage hazardous substances, and track chemical sourcing, handling, and waste.
The LWG perspective is to work with the leather supply chain to identify the responsible suppliers through a system developed within the audit process. The LWG recognizes the importance of transparency and traceability within the supply chain. It is only through transparency of supply that consumers, brands, and their supply chain can ensure that the materials used in products can be sustainably selected and sourced. Full transparency and traceability of all types of raw materials is a fundamental building block to ensure that inappropriate exploitation of people, places, and damage to the environment (such as deforestation and pollution) do not take place. As part of an ongoing drive for continuous improvement, LWG is currently reviewing its traceability requirements in regard to its audit processes in conjunction with the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) to ensure that it remains relevant and robust.
